Supporting the Canadian Mental Health Association
Together, We Can Turn Stories Into Hope
Every person has a story. Some stories are filled with celebration. Others are marked by hardship, loss, isolation, or silent battles that few people ever see. Born Without Applause is one of those stories. It is a memoir about surviving extraordinary challenges, discovering resilience, and finding hope even when life seemed determined to take it away. Although my journey is deeply personal, its message is universal: no one should have to face life's struggles alone. That belief is why I am honoured to support the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). For more than 100 years, CMHA has helped Canadians access mental health services, education, advocacy, and community support. Every day, they remind people that hope is possible and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Why This Matters
Healing does not happen in isolation. It happens when people feel seen. When they feel heard. When someone chooses compassion instead of judgment. When communities come together to support one another. Those same values are at the heart of both Born Without Applause and the work of CMHA.
